Heritage Store Rose Oil
Damask Rose flower oil has antibacterial and antioxidant as well as cooling and soothing anti-inflammatory properties, which reportedly improve the health and appearance of the skin (especially mature skin) in several ways: by decreasing redness and flare-ups associated with conditions like rosacea or dermatitis; by making broken capillaries and scarred areas less visible (thanks to its tonic, astringent effect); and by promoting healthy skin cell growth to regenerate, strengthen, condition, and smooth the skin. Rosehip oil also helps promote skin cell growth and repair and helps minimize redness (although here it's the redness associated with scar tissue and fine lines and wrinkles), but is probably mainly used to help keep the skin softer and more moisturized, due to its high vitamin and essential fatty acid content. The Heritage Store's Rose Oil gives you the best of both these worlds, bolstered with a plant-derived form of squalene, which our bodies use (and also produces, but not as much past the age of 30) to retain more moisture in the skin, to make it more supple and to make fine lines and dry patches less visible. This vegan, cruelty-free product is suitable for all skin types, and may be especially beneficial for those with dry or combination skin.
