Syrian Grilled Cheese (Saturday 5/2 only!)

Van Hook is partnering with NJ’s own Kasbo’s Market to bring their famed Syrian grilled cheese to Montclair for one day only. On Saturday, May 2nd, we’ll be slinging a sandwich that, until now, has only been available at one Manhattan location. Starting with fresh pita and extra virgin olive oil, Aleppo pepper, and mint, the star is jibneh—handmade right here in NJ by the jibneh queen herself, Benita Kasbo. Savory and nutty, with a mozzarella-like melt, it makes for a deeply satisfying grilled cheese. Quantities are very limited, and preorder is required as the cheese is produced in small batches. Arrive at 12pm on May 2nd, 2026 in MONTCLAIR only!
