STEARC for WOAS
STEARC abandons traditional oscillators in favour of feedback loops. The result is a volatile synthesis engine capable of everything from rhythmic harsh noise to maximal crunches. Its sound lives at the edge of collapse, distortion not as an effect, but as a structural force. EFFECT sweeps from raw degraded downsampling through stereo spatialisation into saturated overload. Hold WAVESNAP to inject external audio directly into the feedback network, folding incoming signals into the engine’s core. DISTORTION engages internal feedback paths that accumulate and destabilise depending on the current state of the system. Other controls are as per the stock WOAS beat engine. Replacing your WOAS beat engine: Disconnect all cables from your WOAS. Turn over the device, unscrew and remove the 8 screws on the back panel. Remove the back panel. Locate the SD card holder at the bottom of the circuit board. Press the SD card lightly to release it, trying not to touch the circuit board. Remove the SD card. Slot in the new SD card and push lightly to latch it in place. Replace the back panel and screws. Your WOAS is ready to use! The disc image for this beat engine is here: https://tinyurl.com/STEARC
