Wooden Lime Squeezer (Catemaco, Veracruz)

Hand-carved wooden lime squeezer from Catemaco, Veracruz. These are handmade from granadillo wood, so the colors of each squeezer can vary. You'll have to take your chances, but these handmade treasures are all wonderful. Note that you'll want to use the small, round limes, known as Key limes or Mexican limes, which we think are more aromatic than the larger Persian limes. We recommend using a thick mineral oil for cutting boards to help protect the wood from the acidity of the limes.
