Galletta June-Bearing Strawberry Live Plug Plants

Build your own strawberry patch with Galletta live plug plants. This early-season, June-bearing variety produces firm, glossy red berries with sweet flavor for fresh eating, desserts, and preserves. Start with rooted young plants and enjoy tending your patch from transplanting through harvest. What You Receive Galletta strawberry plants rooted in growing medium. Choose a pack of 3, 10, or 25 plants. Live plugs, not seeds or dormant bare roots. About the VarietyGalletta is a garden strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) with an early-season June-bearing habit. This means a concentrated seasonal crop rather than continuous summer production. The actual harvest month varies by region, planting date, and growing conditions.Care on ArrivalUnpack promptly and check the growing medium for moisture. Water gently if dry and let excess water drain. Keep plugs in a sheltered, bright location while they recover from transit, then gradually introduce them to outdoor sun and wind.Planting Your Strawberry Plugs Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil enriched with compost. For containers, use potting mix and a pot with drainage holes. Remove each plug carefully, preserving its root ball. Keep the crown at soil level without covering the growing point. Firm the soil gently and water thoroughly after planting. Watering and Ongoing CareMaintain even soil moisture during establishment and fruit development, avoiding waterlogged conditions. Water at soil level and keep competing weeds under control. Feed according to your soil's needs and the fertilizer label. Protect young plants from harsh weather and provide seasonal protection suited to your local climate.HarvestingPick berries when fully red and ripe. Enjoy them fresh from the garden or use them in shortcakes, sauces, and homemade preserves. Newly transplanted plugs need time to establish; fruiting time and yield depend on planting date, climate, and care, and an immediate harvest is not guaranteed.
