Lyon Bergère Chair

A Louis XV bergère with the easy charm of a French farmhouse. The Lyon curves around you in one continuous sweep, its barrel back flowing into scrolled arms, all held in a hand-carved frame with a serpentine apron and graceful cabriole legs. The wood is left in a soft limed finish, so the carving reads gently rather than formally. Upholstery is a classic ticking stripe in sage-grey and natural, run in full around the back so the chair looks as good from behind as from the front.
