Pyra Vase
By Australian multidisciplinary artist Lisa Lapointe. Crafted from raw, unglazed clay using ancient techniques, the Pyra Vase is the largest piece in the Elemental Collection which explores a return to the elemental foundations of human existence. Drawing upon ancient Mediterranean languages and cosmologies, the five vessels in the collection represent earth, water, fire, air, and the celestial aether. PYRA, meaning 'fire' in Ancient Greek, explores transformation and energy.
