Three Faces of Switzerland

Three distinctive Swiss cattle breeds come together in a quiet, almost formal group portrait: the powerful Hérens, the refined Swiss Braunvieh and the unmistakable Simmental. Removed from the traditional Alpine landscape, each animal takes on an individual presence. Their different forms, markings and expressions emerge through sculptural light and deep shadow, creating a contemporary interpretation of three familiar characters of rural Switzerland. This work is part of the ArtDarts Fine Art Series and is produced exclusively on Hahnemühle Matte Fine Art Surface, mounted on Alu-Dibond. The deeply matte, subtly textured surface is particularly suited to the monochrome composition, revealing rich blacks, fine details and subtle tonal transitions without distracting reflections.
