Book of Psalms - Embroidered Book Cover

Recreate the exquisite embroidered binding of an original 1615 Book of Psalms, faithfully reconstructed by Kate Barlow, Fellow of the Royal School of Needlework. Worked on 28-count linen in DeVere silks, gilt and silver passing threads and tiny silver spangles, this design combines Tent Stitch, Elizabethan Ladder Braid, Elizabethan Looped Edging, Laid Work and Elizabethan Plaited Gobelin Stitch. The kit comes a FREE comprehensive online tutorial with Kate who guides you through each step to create the embroidery. Recommended frame: 10-inch hoop or a 24-inch slate frame.
