Shimano TwinPower XD FB Spinning Reel

Lightweight sensitivity meets serious saltwater strength. The Shimano TwinPower XD FB combines the quick response and precision of Shimano's MagnumLite series with the toughness and winding power needed for demanding saltwater fishing. Designed for anglers who want exceptional lure control without sacrificing durability, the TwinPower XD FB delivers smooth performance whether you're working artificial lures, fishing structure, or battling powerful inshore gamefish. At the heart of the reel is Shimano's lightweight CI4+ MagnumLite (MGL) Rotor, engineered to reduce rotational inertia for faster startup and improved sensitivity. This makes it easier to control subtle lure movements, maintain contact with your presentation, and respond quickly to a strike. Combined with a rigid HAGANE Body and cold-forged HAGANE Gear, the TwinPower XD FB balances lightweight handling with the strength to perform under pressure. Shimano's InfinityDrive and InfinityXross technologies improve winding efficiency and gear durability, while the DuraCross Drag delivers smooth, consistent drag performance with exceptional wear resistance. InfinityLoop's slow spool oscillation produces precise line lay for smoother casting, and X-Protect helps keep water out of critical internal components. From repetitive casting with artificial lures to fighting hard-running saltwater species, the TwinPower XD FB is built for anglers who demand a responsive reel that won't back down when the fishing gets tough. Features & Technologies MagnumLite (MGL) Rotor: Lightweight, asymmetrical CI4+ rotor reduces rotational inertia for quicker startup, improved sensitivity, and precise lure control. HAGANE Body: Rigid metal body construction minimizes flex under load, helping transfer cranking effort into winding power. HAGANE Gear: Precision cold-forged gearing provides strength, durability, and long-lasting smoothness. InfinityDrive: Reduces internal friction for lighter, more efficient cranking, particularly when retrieving under heavy loads. InfinityXross: Advanced gear-tooth design distributes pressure across a wider contact area to improve gear durability. MicroModule Gear II: Refined gear-tooth design promotes smoother, quieter operation. DuraCross Drag: Durable woven drag washers provide smooth, consistent drag pressure with improved resistance to wear. InfinityLoop: Ultra-slow spool oscillation creates precise line lay, reducing friction during casting and helping maintain consistent drag performance. X-Protect: Water-repellent treatment and a labyrinth-style sealing system help protect critical components against water intrusion without adding unnecessary rotational resistance. Anti-Twist Fin: Flexible fin near the line roller helps maintain line tension, reducing loose line, uneven winding, and unwanted line wrapping. Long Stroke Spool: Extended spool design helps improve line release and casting performance. Rigid Support Drag: Reinforced spool support helps maintain stability and smooth drag operation under heavy pressure. X-Ship: Bearing-supported pinion gear maintains gear alignment for efficient power transfer and improved durability. SilentDrive: Refined internal components reduce unwanted noise, vibration, and mechanical play. G-Free Body: Positions the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod to improve balance and reduce fatigue during extended fishing sessions. One-Piece Bail: Seamless bail design helps guide line smoothly toward the roller. S A-RB Bearings: Shielded, corrosion-resistant ball bearings provide smooth operation and improved protection in demanding fishing environments. The Shimano TwinPower XD FB brings together the sensitivity of a lightweight performance reel and the strength of a serious saltwater workhorse. It's a premium choice for anglers who appreciate precise lure presentation, powerful retrieves, and dependable performance cast after cast.
