Off white witherite crystals display a bright blue-white under all wavelengths and is very phosphorescent. The mines of Cave-In-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois, have produced specimens of witherite of excellent quality. Ex. Liebetrau Collection This specimen originates from the renowned collection of Albert M. “Al” and Suzanne “Sue” Liebetrau, who spent more than six decades assembling a world-class collection of fine minerals from around the globe.
