40s Wide Necktie Hand Painted Feline 50s Novelty Print Tie Cat VFG

This 1940s hand painted vintage necktie is simply outstanding - truly a piece of art to wear around your neck. The fabric is light weight crepe, most likely rayon. most of the tie is covered in vertical brush strokes - pale gray and soft peach for the lowest 18" or so, and then overlaid with dark brown to cover the rest of the tie, with an ombre transition of the brown overlaying the gray and peach. A slim cat strides down the center of the bottom 12" of the tie, done in a warm shade of brown with yellow eyes. Cool cat or predator cat? In the eys of the beholder.
