This is the NKJV Sovereign Collection large print reference Bible from Thomas Nelson, rebound in A&A Crack Vegetilino cowhide in scarlet red. Vegetable-tanned leather changes with the person who carries it. With daily use it softens, darkens where the hands rest, and builds a patina over the months. The red deepens instead of fading, and the cover breaks in to the way the owner reads. Inside is a black Nappa lambskin liner, edge-lined to the cover and finished with a single gilt line. The Bible opens flat from the first page. The perimeter is hand stitched in the workshop with black thread, and a generous yapp covers the page edges. The spine has raised hubs and is blind stamped, with three old gold ribbon markers.
