God Cares About You (Psalm 139)

Have you ever looked up in awe at the stars and thought about the vast expanse of the universe? Did you know that the God who spoke the galaxies into existence also cares about you and every detail of your life? He Made You As your Creator, God cares about you very much. Like a precious gem formed and hidden in the ground, God created you with great care. Even before you were conceived, He established a purpose for your life and knew what every day would bring. The Bible describes it like this: “Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb … My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret … How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139:13–17). Your worth is not determined by what you accomplish or how others see you. Your true worth comes from the One who made you and knows you completely. “I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalm 139:14). He Knows You God knew you before your first breath, and He knows every detail of your life. “O Lord, Thou hast searched me, and known me … Thou understandest my thought afar off … and art acquainted with all my ways” (Psalm 139:1-3). God is all-powerful and at the same time all-knowing and always present. This means He is fully aware of every struggle you face. He also sees that you are not immune to failure, for “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). He knows that your sin will eventually lead to death and eternal separation from Him. But He wants to rescue you and draw you close, offering “eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). He Loves You Exactly how much does God love and care about you? It’s more than you can imagine! God put His love for you into action by sending His Son (Jesus) to take your sin upon Himself and suffer its punishment in your place. “God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Because Jesus is perfectly holy, the power of sin and death could not hold Him. Three days after He paid the penalty of our sin on the cross, He rose from the grave and then returned to Heaven. He Invites You God is calling you to turn from your brokenness to His loving arms. Reach out to Him today. Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Through Him, our souls can be cleansed from sin and we can stand in God’s presence without fear of judgment. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). As a follower of Jesus, you will learn more about God by reading the Bible, and discover peace in knowing that He is always watching over you. His thoughts about you outnumber the grains of sand (Psalm 139:17-18)! You are always on His mind. God cares about you and is showing you the way to Heaven: Trust Jesus Christ to save you from sin and lead you to eternal life.
