At the heart of the piece is Xiangyunsha (香云纱), a rare heritage silk from Shunde, created using a centuries-old dyeing and finishing technique, which is largely a hand-worked process that gives the fabric its distinctive lustre, beautiful handfeel and lightweight structure. We shaped this extraordinary fabric into a wrap silhouette with a quiet nod to classic Asian cinematic glamour, then added intricate beaded embroidery and structured, armour-like shoulders for strength and definition. Luxurious yet wonderfully lightweight, it embodies everything we love about the Black Swan — rare, distinctive, strong and elegant.
