La Vicuña - Peru
Single Origin Coffee La Vicuña is a community-driven coffee from the highlands of northern Peru, produced by an alliance of eleven cooperatives representing roughly 3,000 smallholder farmers across Amazonas and Cajamarca. This fully washed coffee is fermented for 23 hours after depulping, then dried on concrete patios for eight days, producing a clean, balanced cup with rich sweetness, bright citrus character, and a smooth, lingering finish. Through the ElevaFinca project, participating cooperatives are investing in farm renovation, agroforestry, and a modern mill co-owned by the producers, helping improve coffee quality while supporting long-term sustainability and economic resilience for the farming communities. TASTING NOTES: Caramel, Orange, Hazelnut PROCESS: Washed REGION: Amazonas & Cajamarca ALTITUDE: 1,300–2,000 MASL DELIVERY NOTE: Coffee orders are freshly roasted and typically ship in 2-4 days.
