Brown Rubber Legged Stonefly (Tungsten Bead) (TN850)

Stoneflies are a staple of a trout's diet, and these large, brown, rubber-legged versions are very effective on New Zealand trout. Tied in size 10, the TN850 is available with either a single 4 mm tungsten bead or a double 4 mm tungsten bead, with the second bead hidden in the thorax. These patterns work well in a double-nymphing rig under an indicator, or as a single fly dropped in front of fussy brown trout with a bow-and-arrow cast. Don't leave home without a few of these in your fly box.
