FRAGRANCE NOTE : balsamic pine resin intertwined with the salt of the sea breeze, enveloped in the delicate, earthy whisper of sand grasses, creates a scent full of freedom and space. STORY : We're not from the seaside. We've lived hundreds of kilometers from the coast our entire lives. "The seaside" entered our lives, sometime in the distant past. Always in the same way: a tiring, boring journey by train, car, whatever, arriving in a town identical to the one we left, and then a morning walk after gathering the necessary equipment (blankets, towels, drinks, food, toys, shovels, inflatables...). And then came that magical moment. First came the smell. Pine forest, sand, salt, wind, and then that unique, unrepeatable, special something so ah. Then the roar, the rhythm of the waves, then the clamor, and finally an image emerged: the roaring, magical water stretching to the horizon. Beyond imagination, alive, merging with the blue of the vault. The sailing ships had long since moved to the sky, and now, in neat rows like the liners at Trafalgar, they sail majestically, driven by the wind. This sequence of sensory impressions always occurs. Time flies, now speeding up, now slowing down. The scenery changes. People come and go, but this extraordinary mystery of the sea's revelation is constant and unchanging. First, digging furiously in the sand and sitting with blue lips in the icy water, a sense of security occasionally found in the gaze of my parents' eyes. Later, with friends, running along the shore toward the rising sun (only the music from Vangelis's "Chariots of Fire" was missing). Then came the time of holding hands and trembling caused by—we're no longer sure—either the wind or a warm breath on our shoulders. This time smoothly transitioned back into building sandcastles and irrigation systems, but this time as the labor and hired engineering of small beach investors. The time of holding hands returned, essentially the same ones, but a little tired from tearing pages from the calendar. We now understand that everything is fluid. Searching for anchors, stable bases, we invariably find this place—this "seaside"—and we feel happy.
