The Bee A Line Cut by Hand The spine carries a continuous, flowing leaf-and-flame scroll, pierced clean through the steel strip rather than just cut into a recessed channel — you can see the burl grain through the open sections between the raised leaf shapes. Both edges of the piercing are finished with a fine zigzag/saw-tooth detailing, which gives the whole line a sharper, more ornamental edge than a plain scalloped or scroll-cut spine. A Handle Like No Other The handle is Albizia burl, warm honey-brown with small dark burl eyes scattered through the grain. The pin work here is looser and more irregular than the diagonal "comet-tail" row you've had on other pieces — a light scatter of silver pins with a single brass pin breaking up the line, rather than a graduated trail.
