09/08 Virgo New Moon Intention Setting Sound Bath with Laura Tyagi

Tuesday, September 8 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm In-Person at Body Mind & Soul Join us for a meditative sound experience as we begin a new lunar cycle. When the moon is “new,” it is positioned between Earth and the sun, with the illuminated side of the moon facing away and the shadowed side making it invisible in the night sky. This time of darkness is an opportunity to pause and consider what seeds or intentions you want to plant for the month ahead. This month we have a new moon in the grounded and practical sign of Virgo. Think back-to-school! Time to clean up, get organized, and pay attention to the details. What tasks and to do’s need your attention right now? This moon is asking us to take care of things…not in a busy for busy-ness sake way. In a way that is supportive, nurturing and has your best interest at heart. Virgo believes in your potential and is here to help you do your best! We’ll begin with a brief discussion and prompt for contemplation as we set our intentions for the upcoming lunar cycle. Then we’ll plant those seeds as we “bathe” in resonant sound vibrations created by quartz crystal singing bowls, a hand-hammered metal gong, and chimes to help relax the body, calm the mind, and release stored emotional energy. Please bring: • A yoga mat or comfortable surface to lie on • A blanket • A pillow or bolster • Anything you’d like to help you feel comfortable Allow yourself to reset, realign, and tend your garden of intention! This listing is for in-person participation at Body Mind & Soul's physical location. Attendance will be limited to 10 participants. Laura is a mixed media artist who creates art and experiences that focus on transformation. Through her work with creativity, sound and play she empowers you to discover your authentic self and creates opportunities for inner exploration and outward expression. Laura opens her art studio at Silver Street Studios the second Saturday each month from 12-5pm, plays sound baths and does Human Design readings at Body Mind and Soul.
