Sculpting Light: Shaping the Subject
Taking control of the narrative. Building upon foundational lighting knowledge, this in-depth course focuses on the deliberate art of sculpting light for a specific subject. Highly relevant for portraiture, fashion, and fine art photography, students will learn how to actively manipulate, add, and shape light to dramatise their subjects and bring their creative vision to life. Skills Covered Using artificial lighting, reflectors, and modifiers to intentionally sculpt a subject. Controlling shadows and highlights to flatter, dramatise, or alter the mood of a portrait. Building deliberate lighting setups from scratch to match a specific creative intention. What We Provide Lighting Equipment: Studio strobes, continuous lights, wireless triggers, light stands, softboxes, and light modifiers. What To Bring & Requirements Camera: A digital camera with manual controls (and a hot shoe for flash/trigger, if applicable). Note-Taking: A notebook for sketching lighting setups.
