Aprezal (Hydralazine Hydrochloride)

Hydralazine hydrochloride is an antihypertensive agent for intramuscular or intravenous injection. It is indicated for the management of hypertensive emergencies and acute severe hypertension when oral therapy is not feasible. The solution provides rapid vasodilation through direct-acting peripheral vasodilator action, helping to reduce blood pressure in critical situations. Suitable for hospital and clinical settings where immediate blood pressure control is required. Each dose should be administered under medical supervision with appropriate monitoring of cardiovascular response and blood pressure parameters. How It Works: Works by directly relaxing the smooth muscles of peripheral blood vessels (arteries). This dilation reduces vascular resistance, lowering systemic blood pressure and making it easier for the heart to pump blood. Indications & Common Uses Hypertensive Emergencies/Crises: Used in hospital or clinical settings to rapidly lower dangerously high blood pressure when oral medication is not feasible or fast enough. Severe Hypertension in Pregnancy: Frequently administered in urgent cases of preeclampsia or eclampsia.
