An incredibly impressive Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Cluster ring, beautifully substantial on the hand and centred by a vivid natural blue sapphire weighing approximately 2.58 carats. With a substantial overall weight of approximately 10.00 grams, this is a beautifully made and exceptional quality heirloom-worthy ring with excellent presence, wonderful colour and timeless appeal! Complete with an independent retail replacement valuation of $14,380 AUD, this is a wonderfully elegant piece with a lovely combination of classic styling and strong visual presence. Taking centre stage is a claw-set natural oval-cut blue sapphire, measuring approximately 9.45mm x 6.6mm x 4.6mm and displaying a gorgeous medium, vivid blue colour. The sapphire has a particularly attractive depth and richness, making it an immediate focal point within the surrounding diamonds. Framing the sapphire are fourteen natural round brilliant-cut diamonds, graded approximately G colour and SI–I1 clarity, with a combined calculated weight of approximately 0.44 carats. A further six natural tapered baguette-cut diamonds, graded approximately G colour and VS1–I1 clarity, add another 0.22 carats of diamond weight and introduce a lovely geometric contrast to the softer curves of the central sapphire and brilliant-cut diamonds. The ring itself is crafted in solid platinum and features a substantial and solid half-round tapered shank with split shoulders, an open-backed construction and multi-claw settings throughout, all finished with a polished surface. The arrangement of round and tapered baguette diamonds creates a beautifully balanced surround while allowing the sapphire to remain very much the star of the piece.
