Throwing II w/ Amy Henson
Fridays, November 6th – December 18th, 2026
6:00-9:00PM
**No Class 11/27**
This class is for folks who already have basic throwing skills down somewhat comfortably – this usually means students can comfortably wedge, center, and pull walls up for a basic cylinder. This class will cover throwing more advanced techniques including larger vessels, lidded forms and consistent, repeated forms. Instructor Amy Henson will dive into altering forms off the wheel for more interesting functional work. Students may work with any cone 6 clay they prefer – the studio provides cone 6 firing and glazes for the finished work. Students may bring their own clay, use House Clay or purchase new clay at the studio (FCS sells a white stoneware, a brown stoneware and a domestic porcelain). Students encouraged to bring their own tools, though community tools are available for anyone who needs them.
