German WWII DAF Drum Skirt

German WWII DAF Drum Skirt-This skirt would adorn a drum for a marching band or concert kettle drum. It is made of a heavy duty red velvet. It measures 66 inches (167.64cm) in length, and 16 ½ inches (41.91cm) at the widest point. Two of the panels in the front depict the DAF cogwheel in silver bullion. The center panel has the initials ABZ which most likely designated a certain factory cell. This skit is adorned with silver bullion fringe that is approx. 1 ½ inches (3.81cm) in length. This drum skirt is a beautiful bright red, which looks great with the silver bullion trim, insignia and fringe. This piece is lined in a black cloth. This is a rare find, in excellent condition.
