Every build features hardware and woods from across the Custom Shop lineup: 5 rod styles that work on any model, up to 9 metal finishes depending on model, 8+ BBB colors, and 25 wood types. No two ZMFs will ever look the same — and that's before you account for the one-of-a-kind character of every individual wood set. No two sets are alike. Each build is a one-of-one, with its own unique color, figure, and grain character. Units are sold individually — if you see it in the drop-down, it's still available. Built across our Illinois workshop and machine shop. One at a time. The way it should be. Caldera Closed: ZMF's first fully closed planar headphone, developed from the Caldera Open model. Awarded Headfonics Best Ortho 2023, the Caldera Closed features the patented Atrium Damping System, along with the patent-pending Caldera Pad and Caldera Magnet Systems. Sonically the Closed version imparts the speed, immediacy and dynamism of the open, while adding a sub-bass boost and tastefully closer(ish) to Harman tuning with the incredible isolation of a closed back. Aesthetically the Caldera Closed for the first time uses a geometrically "Caldera Volcano" influenced cup shape, with asymmetrical dips and dives that allow the sonic character of our driver to shine through. A unique shape that feels amazing in the hand and much lighter on the head than you could ever imagine.
