waterlily ~ print

I painted waterlily thinking about the way things slowly come into form~ often without us fully realising it, or even knowing what we are making at the beginning. For me, painting can feel like creating something that is both forming and slipping away at the same time. It is only in retrospect that the work begins to settle into something familiar; here, a waterlily quietly finding its way out of still water. waterlily, v? (2026) acrylic on canvas.
