Dixeebe San Martinero Edition No. 1 Mezcal 375ml

Dixeebe San Martinero Edition No. 1 is a limited-production artisanal mezcal made by maestro mezcalero Gregorio Hernández in Oaxaca, Mexico. It is produced entirely from San Martinero, a large variety of Agave karwinskii. The agaves used for this edition mature for approximately 13 years before harvesting. They are traditionally roasted in an underground earthen pit oven. After cooking, the agaves are crushed using a stone tahona and fermented naturally. The fermented liquid is then double-distilled in copper stills. This expression presents characteristic vegetal and earthy notes balanced by natural cooked-agave sweetness. Despite its high strength, it offers a rich mouthfeel and a surprisingly balanced finish. Edition No. 1 was produced as a highly limited batch of approximately 570 bottles.
