Hoya Mounting Workshop Saturday, September 19, 2026 9:30am-11am Rooted Living • 2918 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60618 The hoya mounting workshop will give you a little background on epiphytes, or plants that grow on other plants or rocks. You might know about air plants growing on trees, but Hoyas grow in a similar manner. This workshop will walk you through the supplies, steps and care of a mounted pet friendly plant to display on that sunny wall in your favorite room. The class will be taught by Lindsey Werhane, creator of Planty Persona, an in-home small business located in Glendale Heights, IL. They specialize in mounting houseplants to live edge cedar boards which create a unique wall display. We’ll provide everything you need, including step-by-step guidance, use of tools, and all materials. Spots are limited to 12 participants—save your seat today! Why do we have multiple pricing options? Community workshops are for you, our community! We offer a limited number of tickets for most workshops at a reduced rate. Please choose the price that best honors where you’re at. If you are able to pay at the suggested level or higher, it helps keep our workshops on a sliding scale for those who can contribute at a different scale. Policies: No refunds are available for workshop registration. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend. To do this, please email info@rootedchicago.com with the subject line “Ticket Transfer: [Name of Workshop]” using the same email address that was provided at registration. Include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. We’ll take it from there! If you provide 7 days' notice and we are able to fill your spot, we may be able to issue a credit toward a future workshop. In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, increases in local Covid cases, changes to local Covid guidance, positive Covid cases on our staff, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).
