The Clawgrass No. 2 model was created when Mark Johnson approached Deering about offering a less extravagant version of his incredible Clawgrass banjo without sacrificing quality, tone, or playability. The Clawgrass No. 2 features standard nickel plating --unlike its hand engraved, 24K gold plated sibling -- and a simpler yet equally elegant binding on the neck, peghead, and rim.
