Double Down Hydrangea is a compact reblooming deciduous shrub and one of the best reputed blue lacecap cultivars. It has serrated dark green leaves with no fall color. Its mophead clusters of double flowers' color depends on the soil PH - acidic soils produce sky blue flowers, while alkaline soils produce soft pink flowers - and bloom through summer into fall. The flowers attract butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
