Every time I pass this hillside, I’m drawn to its wonderfully tangled landscape. Thick hedges gather around rocky ridges, while the land rises, dips and rolls in every direction, creating an endless mix of shapes, colours and shifting shadows. There’s always something new to notice in this curious stretch of countryside. I stop whenever I ride by, knowing this familiar view will never fail to send me home with another idea for a painting.
