The Aune XC1 is a high-performance external audio clock that brings precise 10MHz timing to a digital audio chain. It is a black and silver desktop unit sized to sit neatly alongside a DAC or all-in-one player.Type and TechnologyThe XC1 is an external reference clock that uses an OCXO (oven-controlled crystal oscillator) source. It provides two 10MHz sine wave outputs and two 10MHz square wave outputs, four isolated outputs in total, which can all operate simultaneously to feed several components in the chain. The motherboard uses carefully chosen components, including Panasonic or Sanyo audio capacitors and Panasonic ECPU capacitors on the clock circuit, with a micro-volt noise-chip cascade in the power supply for low-noise operation.
