Psagot Dessert Wine (500ml)
A late-harvest Chardonnay from Psagot's Jerusalem Mountains vineyards — picked late so the sugars concentrate, then rested a year in French and Hungarian oak. Rich, honeyed, golden in the glass. The 500ml bottle is exactly right for the end of a meal: a few small pours, no pressure to finish. In the glass Honeycomb and ripe pear on the nose. The palate is unctuous but balanced — apricot, candied citrus, vanilla, a thread of bright acidity that keeps it from sliding into syrup. Long, warm finish with toasted hazelnut. From the table Pour with fruit tarts, crème brûlée, baklava, a wedge of aged cheese. Equally good on its own as the last sip of the night. Serve chilled (around 50°F / 10°C). About the winery Psagot Winery sits in the Judean Hills outside Jerusalem, founded by Yaakov Berg in 2003. The vineyards are planted on terra rossa over limestone bedrock and the cave-aged barrel program has earned Psagot a steady stream of 90+ scores from international critics.
