The NX-P1300ISNUK is a UHF radio and therefore is best suited for indoor use or a mix of indoor/outdoor use. If you need an intrinsically safe radio for outdoor use in open areas, we recommend the Kenwood NX-P1200ISNVK – a VHF version of the same radio.
