Pinot Nero, the grape variety synonymous with French Burgundy, reveals a distinctive and excellent character in South Tyrol. The region’s unique conditions, blending Alpine and Mediterranean influences, provide the perfect climate for its development. A demanding and delicate grape variety, Törggelen Pinot Nero Le Clivie reaches its full potential thanks to the optimal terroir: it is grown at 400 metres above sea level, in deep, fertile soil that is well-drained and rich in lime. The result is a delicate red wine, low in tannins and with pronounced acidity, featuring aromas of red berries, balanced and full on the palate.
