Incredible 1930’s Hand Stitched and Embroidered Silk Nightgown And Bed Jacket Trousseau Bridal Set

This set took my breath away. Its a true masterpiece… 1920’s 1930’s..that’s 100 years old possibly! Theres no tags or makers marks of any kind.. Its entirely hand stitched.. All the edging.. All the embroidery Even the pintucks.. It’s extraordinary! And the white silk..it’s just the finest I’ve ever laid hands on.. On the bias so it just clings perfectly.. Triple spaghetti straps.. Ecru contrast stitching.. The little jacket perfectly matching.. The details and stitchwork are so delicate and subtle it’s amazing.. This took someone a long time and a lot of care to make.. A bridal set.. An antique trousseau.. I wish I knew more of the story of this set. Who made it..Why..Where..For whom.. I guess the mystery adds to the enchantment. Excellent condition..I believe it was only worn the one time and then stored away..the silk is so soft and strong with no shattering or breakage..the nightgown has a small spot near the waist and one on the side of the skirt near the hem..the jacket has a tiny dirt mark at the underarm..I have decide not to launder these items and preserve them in their original condition..the small flaws add to the endearing mystery of this unique piece.. size small or a small medium cut on the bias so it will fit a range of sizes so refer to measurements Nightgown bust 32”-34” waist 27”-31” hips” 40”-46” length 49” bed jacket bust 40” length 15”
