Vintage Illuminated Holy Family Wall Plaque – Mid-20th Century

A striking mid-20th-century devotional wall plaque depicting the Holy Family—Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus—modelled in high relief and finished in softly coloured polychrome tones with gilt highlights. The beautifully detailed figures are mounted against a large, shaped dark timber backboard, creating a strong contrast that highlights the expressive faces, richly textured garments and golden halos. Beneath the figures is an integrated vintage light fitting, originally intended to cast a soft glow through the perforated base. Measuring an impressive 54 cm across, this is a substantial and wonderfully nostalgic example of vintage religious décor.
