We are proud to share this traditional Japanese craftsmanship with people around the world. The wooden footbed is carefully shaped with gentle contours that follow the natural form of the foot. This skilled craftsmanship makes them more comfortable and easier to walk in than traditional flat wooden geta. 🌿 Natural Cedar Comfort The Japanese cedar is left completely unpainted and unfinished, preserving the natural texture and feel of the wood. The bare wood naturally absorbs moisture, helping the footbed feel pleasantly dry and smooth against bare feet. Because natural cedar is used without paint or surface coating, the color and texture of the wood will gradually change with use and over time.
