‘Sumba Suburbia' 2025 Mixed media on canvas 85 x 65cm This piece was created after a trip to Sumba island, drawing inspiration from travelling parts of the island by scooter, passing through small villages, with the iconic tall-roofed houses and untouched beaches. The work reflects a particular place on the island where we parked out scooter at the top of the hill before walking down through the village and along a small path that opened into an incredible hidden beach. Clear bright aqua water, a fun left-hand wave with a local man cutting fresh coconuts post surf.
