Foreign Friends Gamay 2025 750ml

Gamay from Yarra Valley; 30% whole bunch, it spent two weeks fermenting on skins in concrete fermenter then pressed to large format French oak (foudre) for ageing over winter and spring. Bottled in October. This is a serious Gamay, Leila did a vintage with Mee Godard in Morgon a couple of years ago. At first this is quite spicy on the nose (think 'toasted sesame seeds') but then you have some beautiful bright fruit coming through. - FF
