Edelweiss Estate Geisha AB+
TANZANIA WASHED ARABICA GEISHA AB+ EDELWEISS ESTATE citric • delicate • smooth • milky oolong • lemongrass • lychee • apple Surrounded by indigenous forests at the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can find Edelweiss Estates. The farm, which stretches from 1,650 to 1,820 meters above sea level, was founded by German settlers around 1900, taken over by the British administration after World War II, and bought by Mr. BN Vohora in 1969. Today, the farm is run by Neel and Kavita Vohora, a brother-and-sister team who also manage two other farms belonging to their family: Ascona and Helgoland. As Edelweiss Estate is located in a very remote region in Northern Tanzania, the team has a strong engagement with the surrounding communities. They run various sustainability projects to support local families and protect the natural environment. They provide apprenticeships at the farm, support local schools, and founded nurseries for their employees’ children. Neel and Kavita grow varieties such as Bourbon, SL-28, SL-34, Kent, and Geisha on their farms. We are thrilled to be able to offer one of their washed Geishas. Like all of their lots, this Geisha was carefully harvested and processed. The cup is citric and delicate, with elegant notes of oolong tea, lemongrass, lychee, and apple.
