Voltasol ESS 5.5kW Hybrid Solar Inverter 48V The Voltasol ESS 5.5kW Hybrid Solar Inverter from Voltacon is a powerful single-phase inverter and battery charger designed for both grid-connected and off-grid solar energy systems. It is suitable for residential solar storage, backup power, self-consumption systems and installations using 48V lithium batteries. This unit is nearly new and fully working. It was exchanged only because the customer upgraded to a three-phase inverter. There are some cosmetic marks on the metal case and the original box is not available, but the inverter is fault-free, updated with the latest firmware and supplied with the required accessories. ENA Registered G98/G99 Compliant The inverter is ENA registered and compliant with G98/G99 requirements for UK grid-connected installations. It can be used as a hybrid inverter operating in parallel with the grid, or as an off-grid inverter where no utility supply is available. This makes it suitable for homes, cabins, farms, workshops and backup power systems where a utility supply is not available or not required. When used in hybrid mode with the grid, the inverter can supply household loads from solar and battery energy first. If the load demand is higher than the available solar or battery power, the national grid can support the additional demand. The AC backup output can also be used to supply selected critical loads during a power cut. This is ideal for fridge/freezers, lighting, internet routers, servers, pumps and other essential circuits. Pylontech Battery Communication The correct BMS cable is included for communication with Pylontech US2000C, US3000C and US5000C lithium batteries. To use the RS485 communication port of the battery, the first DIP switch on the master battery should be set as follows: DIP switch 1: Up DIP switch 2: Down DIP switch 3: Down DIP switch 4: Down Once correctly configured, the inverter can communicate with the battery BMS to manage charging, discharging and battery protection more effectively.
