In the aftermath of her sister Mia’s untimely death, journalist Jacky Careen struggles to find meaning in both her life and her work reporting on local news. As Jacky’s grief consumes her, dark karmic parallels begin to emerge in her increasingly desperate investigations into local crimes, all of which are deemed “unfortunate accidents” by police.
