Black cherry, blackberry and dark plum create an immediate sense of depth and intrigue. Block 3 is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s great Pinot Noir vineyards. Planted on deep, free-draining loess soils over gravel, it consistently produces the most structured and ageworthy wine in the Felton Road range. The 2025 vintage combines concentration with remarkable precision. Powerful tannins provide the framework for intense fruit, savoury earthiness and mineral detail. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured with restraint, this is a serious Pinot Noir built for long-term cellaring and one of the standout wines of the vintage.
