Tapahtuma (Event), triptych

Part of "A black sun", a body of work which was shown in Gallery 3H+K in Pori and in Galleria Ronga in Tampere in 2022. The triptych depicts evening light diminishing, a banal everyday event. The pieces can be displayed together or scattered throughout a space. Its symbolism changes depending on how the works are sequenced; the light fading or growing stronger. Pigment print on bamboo fibre paper, aluminium mounting, pine frame & museum glass. The artwork consists of three framed pieces that form a single work and are sold together. The dimensions of each framed piece are 35 × 48 × 3 cm.
