The Katahdin Full Wedge Axe

Here comes The Katahdin! This is the axe pattern Maine made famous. A bruising 3.25 lb.1045 U.S. carbon steel, wedge pattern head hung on 32" straight New Hampshire ash handle with a pine pitch finish. The handle is turned by our friends at TD Handle in the Finger Lakes region of New York from a pattern we designed to give the Katahdin perfect balance. Comes with a leather sheath made by The Holler Leatherworks in Minot, Maine.
