August Market Garden Tour with Man of the Flower

Come enjoy an afternoon in the hollow with a tour of Man of the Flower’s market garden in Sperryville, VA. Saturday, August 29th from 4:00-5:30pm Enjoy the peak floral bonanza on this garden tour with Man of the Flower (Mason Flink), where you’ll learn all about the different systems of small-scale cut flower production, as well as getting to snip some delicious blooms to take home for yourself! Address provided after purchase of ticket (the farm is in Sperryville, VA, less than 10 minutes from Wild Roots Apothecary). What you'll learn and create: • Learn the ins and outs of cultivating flowers for months of homegrown beauty • Explore gardens full of colorful blooms • Take home your own bundle of freshly picked flowers Perfect for creative explorers, aspiring gardeners, or anyone looking to try something new with their hands. Ages 18 and up only. About your Host: Mason Flink is a writer, farmer florist, and community organizer living in Sperryville (you can follow along at "Man of the Flower" on Substack and Instagram). Before relocating to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Mason lived for 15 years in Los Angeles, where he worked as a television writer/producer (Minx, Special, Love) and immersive performance artist. In addition to volunteering for progressive city council campaigns, he has also been an advocate for arts activism (Third Space, Writers Guild of America), urban agriculture (LA Food Policy Council) and public green space (Garden City LA).
