Chateau Barouillet Splash 2022

Château Barouillet is an eighth-generation family estate in Bergerac, led by Vincent Alexis, who has transitioned the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming with a strong focus on low-intervention winemaking. Working with a diverse mix of traditional Southwest varieties, the wines are made with native fermentations, no fining or filtration, and little to no added sulphur—aiming for purity, drinkability, and honest expression of fruit and place, Made from 30-year-old Semillon vines grown on clay soils, this naturally sparkling wine is crafted without additions, no sulfur, no disgorgement, and no filtration. The grapes are destemmed, direct pressed, and slowly fermented in stainless steel before being bottled just before fermentation finishes, capturing the lively bubbles in the bottle.
