Aotearoa in Bloom, Print

Midnight Meadow print by Nelson Flower Press is a serene study in contrast, featuring delicate white and green blooms set against a deep black background. Each flower is real and has been carefully pressed for over ten weeks, with no certainty the colours or forms would survive the process. Because blooms are seasonal, any unsuccessful result meant waiting a full year to begin again. To honour the rose and dahlia, each flower was gently deconstructed and rebuilt petal by petal so it could lie flat while retaining its natural beauty. Created entirely from pressed flowers, this work contains no paint or digital manipulation—only real botanical material, carefully placed by hand with patience, precision, and care.
